  • White craft glue

  • Papier mâché paste
  • Make the paste by mixing two parts of white craft glue with one part of water. Blend well.

  • Large pot
  • Water
  • Clear glue

  • Insert a skewer through each bead through and through so that you can string them together.

What you need:

  • Thick cardboard sheet
  • Receipt spike
  • Newspaper
  • Glue
  • Glitter
  • Paper cutter
  • Aerosol glue
  • Cardstock

How to make:

  • Cut a 4×4 or 6×6 square from the cardboard.
  • Apply glue and glitter to the cardboard pieces. Let them dry.
  • Insert the receipt spike into the cardboard.
  • You can use two to three more cardboard pieces in decreasing sizes for more stability.
  • Cut the newspaper into 6×6 inch, 5 ½ x 5 ½ inch, 5×5 inch, 4 ½ x 4 ½ inch, 4×4 inch, 3 ½ x 3 ½ inch, 3×3 inch, 2 ½ x 2 ½ inch, 2×2 inch, 1 ½ x 1 ½ inch, and 1×1 inch squares. There should be at least 40-50 squares in all.
  • Find the center of each square by folding each piece in half and half again. Unfold, and you can spot the midpoint easily.
  • Insert the papers on the receipt spike in descending order so that the biggest squares are at the bottom and the smallest squares are at the top.
  • Once done, spray adhesive on the outer edges of the tree and sprinkle glitter immediately.
  • Cut out a couple of stars from the cardstock and glue it on the top of the tree.

What you need:

  • Newspapers
  • Craft glue
  • Watercolors

How to make:

  • Draw two rectangles of equal size on a newspaper. The size of the rectangles will decide the size of the flower. Cut them out.
