If you were inspired by Michelle Obama‘s best-selling 2018 memoir Becoming, your kids can have the opportunity to be inspired too. The former first lady is releasing a children’s edition of the book next month in an effort to reach and give hope to young readers.
“My hope is that the young readers’ edition of Becoming can serve as a conversation starter for you,” she wrote in an Instagram caption. “Maybe it’ll open up new dialogues with your children or grandchildren. Maybe you can use it as an opportunity to begin a book club with the young people you know or use it as an excuse to invite them into your existing book club.”
Becoming sold more than 15 million copies and appeared on the New York Times bestseller list for over 100 weeks since its November 2018 release.
Obama is also launching a paperback version of her original book. Both editions will be available on March 2.
